64 hours per fortnight (0.8 FTE)

Hawkes Bay Hospital Intensive Care Unit (ICU) has a new permanent position available of Clinical Psychologist 0.8 FTE.

The Hawkes Bay ICU is a Level 2 ICU providing a high standard of general intensive care to both adults and children including complex multi system life support. The unit has a total of 13 beds plus provides a Critical Care Transport Service and also participates in the Resuscitation and Rapid Response Service within the hospital.

We would welcome the addition of a psychologist to our multidisciplinary team to support patients and their whanau during admission to ICU. This will mean working directly with the patient and their whanau together with the medical, nursing and allied health team. This may mean a range of clinical deliverables from providing effective psychological assessment, intervention and advice to facilitating acute bereavement support for whanau to facilitating an environment that promotes psychological wellbeing.
